Grand Lake O' The Cherokees Smallmouth Bass Stocking

DEPARTMENT OF WILDLIFE CONSERVATION
We, the undersigned, hereby urge the Oklahoma Department of
Wildlife Conservation to stock Grand Lake O' The Cherokees with Smallmouth
Bass (Micropterus dolomieu) to enhance the sport fishing
opportunities on Grand Lake.
Smallmouth bass are strong, scrappy fighters and are known
for their ability to jump numerous times during the fight in attempts to
shake free from a hook.
We believe the stocking of Smallmouth Bass would greatly
enhance the fishery and would be of additional economic benefit to the
entire Grand Lake area.
